 09 kw t300
« Thread Started on Nov 5, 2009, 11:26pm »

I have a good friend that started a new roll off garbage company had a couple older trucks started getting allot of business so he bought a new 09 kw t300 and has been nothing but a nightmare the closest authorized repair place is 180 miles one way it has been there probable at least 20 different times they have pretty much replaced every sensor injector pump turbo you name it warranty covers it but the down time is killing him. he is locked into some lease with it for three more years so he can't really get out of truck if he leased it through kw he might be able to stick them with it but it was a different company any ideas. do they have a lemon law for large trucks?

I believe there is a lemon law on all vehicles regardless of size. The laws differ very much, but I am fairly sure he would be protected and would end up not being liable for any retributions from the leasing company. However, I am sure he will be liable for some use / depreciation.

the emissions systems can be defeated. I have seen new Pete's with the emissions defeated. the sales man told me he isn't allowed to tell me where or how it was done, while he was working, but over a beer, he would let me know exactly how its done, but if its a leased truck, your friend should probably keep all the parts he takes off so he can put it back when it comes off lease if he doesn't keep it.
